full album bookended by non-album songs “moonbeam” at the beginning & “perfect day” at the end
those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.
for they dream their dreams with open eyes,
and make them come true.
“I felt like lying down by the side of the trail and remembering it all. The woods do that to you, they always look familiar, long lost, like the face of a long-dead relative, like an old dream, like a piece of forgotten song drifting across the water, most of all like golden eternities of past childhood or past manhood and all the living and the dying and the heartbreak that went on a million years ago and the clouds as they pass overhead seem to testify [by their own lonesome familiarity] to this feeling.”
it isn’t often that i comment on something i post, but this guy needs an introduction –
i try to keep it interesting on this site, and i feel most of the stuff is experimental, free, open-minded & authentically creative – & i think this fits in to those categories just fine. riff raff may very well be a genius in disguise – after this first video, watch the remaining two. . .then try to wrap your head around him.
i think what’s going on is almost like a surrealist revival, & an exposé – mass media is being exploited, and a few intelligent and talented people are reaping the reward.
or, you can just read this in to it: the guy is a good actor & comedian, he can rhyme & the beats are fresh.
